LINES Ballet School offers two summer intensives for intermediate, advanced, and pre-professional dancers, ages 11-24.
This intense program is designed for aspiring artists with a focus on exposing young dancers to process-oriented work that explores a variety of dance techniques with ballet as their core discipline. A high priority is placed on educating dancers on the care and maintenance of their bodies while honing their individual voices.
LINES Ballet School offers a unified philosophy that encourages the dancers’ ability to recognize their individual gifts and express themselves with fluency through exploration and observation. Summer Program students experience a rigorous schedule of classes that include: Ballet, Pointe, Men’s Class, Partnering, Improvisation, Modern, LINES Ballet repertoire, and GYROTONIC®. Each summer session culminates with a student performance of works created by choreographers from all over the world.

Bolshoi Ballet Academy

The Bolshoi Ballet Academy’s Summer Intensive will provide expert training for pre-professional dancers of all levels taught exclusively by Master Teachers from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow. In addition to focused classical ballet training, students will be instructed in Pointe, Variations, Character Dance, Male Technique and Partnering* (advanced levels only). Returning for its 3rd Annual Summer, the Program will be divided in two locations with Beginner and Intermediate levels, ages 9-15, at the Westover School in Middlebury, CT, and Advanced Level students, ages 15+, at NY Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Students will have the option to commute or enroll in a residence program. The program will culminate in a final gala performance as well as the unique opportunity to audition for enrollment in the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow.

Nashville Ballet will be holding company auditions on Saturday, March 14 at Hubbard Street Dance. Registration is at 1 p.m. and Class will be at 2 p.m. A $20.00 audition fee is required. Dancers need to bring a head shot along with a photo in First arabesque (en pointe for ladies). Pointe work will be required at the audition. Video/DVD auditions will be accepted from students who live outside of a 100-mile radius of the closest tour city. DVD’s must have musical accompaniment and include 5-minute barre and 5-minute center. Ladies center portion must be en pointe. Please send resume with video/disc and a $30.00 audition fee to:
